Mad Max movies in order
There are five Mad Max films and no series, in two continuities. The first three, with Mel Gibson as Max, form the original continuity; Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), with Tom Hardy, and its prequel Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (2024) form the later one. The franchise page says the films have no strict chronology and may contradict each other, so release order is the order to use. In story terms Furiosa comes before Fury Road and, according to George Miller, probably after Beyond Thunderdome; it is optional.
